Surf legend Sunny Garcia is hospitalized in the emergency unit, World Surf League reported via web-based networking media on Monday night.

Surfer Magazine announced the 2000 best on the planet and six-time Triple Crown titlist was hospitalized in Oregon.

"With crushing sadness we affirm that Sunny Garcia is in the ICU in the medical clinic," the WSL posted on Twitter. "Radiant has dependably been an extraordinary hero of surfing, both all through the water. Our petitions are with him and his friends and family at this profoundly testing time."

Garcia's condition shocked the surf network.

In an Instagram post, previous best on the planet Derek Ho posted an image with Garcia and expressed: "Hold tight … (it's) not your time! Just God knows! … our supplications are with you!!!"
